Board Treasurer

Remote, Volunteer, 10-20 hours per month

The Co-intelligence Institute is seeking a skilled volunteer board treasurer who wants to help bring wise democracy to greater life in the world by supporting the organization through the treasurer role. The Co-Intelligence Institute is a grassroots non-profit promoting innovations in collective wisdom, co-creativity, and collaborative governance.

Tasks include (but not limited to): 

  • Oversee CII’s financial administration

  • Work with bookkeepers

  • Generate timely financial reports (balance sheets, cash flow..)

  • Manage federal and state filings

  • Confirm donations for tax purposes

  • Create and maintain annual budget

  • (ideally) Track volunteer time

To be considered, a candidate will be able to fulfill the above tasks and have the following capacities:

  • Familiarity with Quickbooks

  • High standards and integrity

  • Work well with CII governance team (Note that CII doesn’t have an ED or CEO: We use co-creative processes within a core team to provide core executive capacity and project leadership for CII).

Volunteer Administrative Assistant Role

We seek a remote volunteer administrative assistant to join our core team in support of our internal organization, programs and projects. As a core team, we collectively provide executive capacity and project leadership for CII. We share administrative tasks, and look forward to having additional support. 

Expected Hours / Week: 5-20 (flexible, according to your schedule)

Location: Remote

Compensation: Volunteer

Tasks Include (but not limited to):

  • Admin support for monthly community calls and Eventbrite events 

  • Monthly newsletter prep and support 

  • Website updates

  • Calendar event creation and tracking 

  • Simple video editing

  • Tracking meetings (notes, agendas, action items, etc..)

  • Fulfillment support (card decks/books/etc...) 

  • Joining our weekly calls (Fridays, at 10am Pacific)

Familiarity with Google Docs, Eventbrite, Squarespace, Video Editing Software & Newsletter Platforms is a plus.

Additional Project Support

CII is also growing our capacities in the following areas, and welcomes inquiries from people with any of these specific skills:

  • grant-writing / editing 

  • Ongoing program & project management

  • treasury and finances support 

  • marketing / copy-writing 

  • video and social media support 

  • deep diversity: organizational and network practices for liberation, regeneration, justice now and for future generations
